The work of the Cochrane Eyes and Vision Group is co-ordinated by the editorial team comprising:
Co-ordinating Editor
Richard Wormald
The Co-ordinating Editor is responsible for ensuring that the protocols and reviews registered by authors are appropriate to the Group's scope and that they meet the high standards of the Collaboration. The Co-ordinating Editor is responsible for recruiting authors and other contributors to the Group and disseminating the activity of the Group world-wide.
Managing Editor
Anupa Shah
The Managing Editor supports authors in the preparation of reviews and co-ordinates the editorial base. The Managing Editor is the first point of contact for the group and she maintains communication between the editorial team, authors and other group members. The Managing Editor oversees the submission of reviews for publication in The Cochrane Library.
Trials Search Co-ordinator
Iris Gordon
The Trials Search Co-ordinator takes responsibility for ensuring that systematic reviews incorporate all the available evidence. Key to this is the maintenance of the Cochrane Eyes and Vision Group Trials Register which contains randomised controlled trials (RCTs) and controlled clinical trials (CCTs). The Trials Search Co-ordinator also oversees searches for individual reviews and co-ordinates translation of potential trials.

Editors give pre-publication comments on protocols and reviews that are prepared within the group. They also disseminate information about the group and identify new authors.

Contact Editors give ongoing support to contributors who are preparing reviews within the Group. Contact Editors are assigned either on a topic area or geographical basis.
Statistical Editor

The Statistical Editor ensures that the appropriate statistical methods are used in reviews and that data are managed accurately. The Statistical Editor is responsible for the development of statistical guidelines for authors.

Members in the US are additionally supported by our editorial base satellite in Baltimore, Maryland.
Handsearching Unit Director
Roberta Scherer
The Handsearching Unit Director co-ordinates all manual handsearching for RCTs and CCTs in journals and conference proceedings. These trials are then added to the Trials Register.
Methodologists

The methodologists work closely with US based review authors assisting and advising them on their protocols and reviews.
